More About Anita Germain
I am a lifetime Vermonter. I now combine my understanding of hypnosis with my passion for wellness to teach others how hypnosis can help them make their life easier. Here is a little more background on how this happened in my life.
I have always been interested in how influential our minds can be, and was part of a hypnosis study in the early 80’s at the University of Vermont. Even though I was a Business Major, most of my elective coursework was in Psychology and Social Work.
For the past fifteen years the mind/body connection has been my personal passion. I learned to reduce stress and lose weight by using the power of my mind through hypnosis. I also improved my health, overcame infertility and became pregnant. Basically, hypnosis changed my life and now I want to help others.
While working in the field of business for twenty years, I spent a great deal of time figuring out what motivates people, and would always find myself teaching others how to reduce stress.
I saw an opportunity to combine my work with my passion. I now help clients reduce stress in their daily lives by teaching them about the power of their minds. Through hypnosis they can lead a more positive life.
And now for more personal information: I have been married to my best friend, Chris Ford, for twenty-two years and we share our South Burlington home with our goofy daughter, Josie, and our pets that we rescued from Petfinder.org and adopted into our family, Hannah the cat and Louie the dog.
Here is a poem which I really like that is about life and people making changes:
“There’s a Hole in my Sidewalk“ by Portia Nelson
